Introduction to the Forests and Climate Change Searchable Databases

Recommended: Read the 'Search Tips' section before using the Forests in Flux databases.

The forests and climate change database is managed using Reference Manager 9 software, and delivered on the web using Reference Web Poster software. The database has been created to:

  • Summarise important information on the response of forest ecosystems to climate change;
  • Provide details of models, projects, initiatives and organisations involved in the subject.

Two different Internet searchable databases have been provided, each one providing a different level of information. This tool is provided to allow the user to identify relevant current references pertaining to the issues of forests and climate change, and also to have access to some reviewed references that address the key themes of this field of interest.

The first searchable database (Forests in Flux: Reviewed database) contains over 50 record entries that provide reviewed details on the most relevant and current information that is given in recent scientific papers, proceedings or other publication types, as well as information obtained from relevant internet sites, and particularly from personal communication with people who are working on specifics within this field of interest.

The second searchable database (Forests in Flux: Citation database) provides the citation of over 1100 relevant references.

The long-term goal is to continue to review the most relevant and current references and trends on the effects of climate change to different forest ecosystems.
