Each
region of the world differs in the way it perceives man’s relationship
with nature. Each has different levels of development, with its own
legal and organisational infrastructures.
WCMC
has expertise and programmes tailored to the conservation and information
needs of each region.
Our
regional programmes currently cover Africa, Latin America and Eurasia, and include
the development of information management
systems and the provision of support for international
agreements and programmes. Other areas of work focus on specific regions, for
example our Arctic conservation programme.
