Studying and monitoring environmental changes in the polar regions is
vital and can give an insight to problems of global relevance.
WCMC
has gathered much information on the Arctic to produce maps of protected
areas and assess their status. Work includes a definitive digital map
of Antarctica and an Arctic Bird Library
(ABL).
