Our Call for Papers for the DH2012 attracted a record number of submissions (393, to be precise), which is why we decided to expand to 5 strands this year. However, irrespective of the increased number of available ‘slots’ the programme committee, after detailed and careful deliberation of multiple reviews received for every of the 393 proposals, could in the end only accept a selection of contributions. Notifications for Long paper, Short paper, Panel and Poster submissions have now been sent out, congrats to all! Making your plans for summer? DH “youngsters”, please keep the following dates in mind (in addition to the DH2012, of course!): The Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria in British Columbia/Canada will take place from the 4th to the 8th of June 2012. The European Summer School “Culture & Technology“ at the University of Leipzig/Germany will take place from the 23rd to the 31st of July 2012 – following the conference in Hamburg.
