Five themes involved in the creation and maintenance of a quality Biochemistry/Molecular Biology program at the undergraduate level will be featured, including: the topics of fulfilling ACS biochemistry requirements, research in the undergraduate context, service learning and outreach, and program assessment. Throughout, the workshop discussion will focus on the question, "What is biochemistry at the undergraduate level?" and whether there is a core content that should be taught in any undergraduate biochemistry program.
