Richard Walsh

Richard Walsh is a senior lecturer in English and Related Literature at the University of York, UK. He is the author of The Rhetoric of Fictionality: Narrative Theory and the Idea of Fiction ( 2007), and Novel Arguments: Reading Innovative American Fiction (1995). His current research interests embrace narrative across media and narrative theory in radically interdisciplinary contexts, including manifold instances of the encounter between narrative thinking and complex systems. He is Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Narrative Studies at York, and the leader of the Fictionality Research Group.
