If we weaken one end of the Box, the Turgor Pressure can break through and the Balloon will expand in one direction.

The direction of expansion depends on which side of the box is weakened. If we remove the box entirely, expansion will occur in all directions.

This is how cells grow and change shape.

If the Cell Wall loosens in one area, the Turgor Pressure of the Cell will cause expansion in the direction of the weakened Cell Wall.

Without Cell Walls,   highly branched cells like these could not develop.
