The World Conservation Monitoring Centre provides information services on conservation and sustainable use of the world's living resources, and helps others to develop information systems of their own.

         

        Arctic Programme

        Since 1992, a specific programme of activities has been developed to compile information on the Arctic. Much of this is designed to support the Arctic Environmental Protection Strategy process, in particular the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) Programme.
