This is a restoration of the coal forest of Manebach with
the animals which have been found as fossils. The huge animal,
2 meters in size, is Arthropleura sp. It is placed in the 'Myriapoda',
but its systematic place is yet unclear.
Several fragments of this animal have been found in Manebach.
The museum of Schleusingen is working hard to make a life-size
model of the animal. The modest Pleurojulus steuri can be found
in the right hand bottom corner in the drawing (click on it).
