Adult plant in habitat
Quite unlike Oenocarpus bataua, it is difficult to believe that the two are related. This is a suckering
species, with several trunks on a mature clump. It is a pretty palm, again with new maroon leaves
on the young plant. Quite fast growing, and, it would seem, easy to care for.
