- AACompIdent tool Identify proteins from its amino acid composition
This tool searches SWISS-PROT database for proteins most similar to a certain amino acid composition.
- Blast ISREC WU-Blast in Lausanne
This form runs WU-BLAST or NCBI-BLAST on our local server at ISREC in Lausanne. The databases are updated weekly.
- MOOSE Macromolecular Structure Query
Moose queries the native and derived features of macromolecular structure from the Protein Data Bank (PDB)
- MHCPEP MHCPEP - A database of MHC binding peptides
MHCPEP is a curated database comprising over 13000 peptide sequences known to bind MHC molecules. Entries are compiled from published reports as well as from direct submissions of experimental data. Each entry contains the peptide sequence, its MHC specificity and, when available, experimental method, observed activity, binding affinity, source protein, anchor positions, and publication references.
- Mouse and Rat Research Home Page
a central place to link numerous Internet resources of particular interest to scientific researchers using mice or rats in their work. In addition to a somewhat exhaustive listing of especially useful internet resources, you'll also find some conference announcements and other assorted information here.
- OMIM Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man
a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders
- IDENTIFY Protein identification by sequence (Stanford)
- SCAN Proteoin sequence retrieval by regular expression (Stanford)
- AbCheck Search antibody sequence in Kabat sequence database
- BioSCAN Search biological sequence databases (Univ. North Carolina)
- BCM Search Launcher Search Launcher at Baylor College of Medicine
Several tools for sequence analysis.
- MassSearch Searching for protein digestion fragment sizes
Search in the SWISS-PROT database for a protein with given peptide fragment sizes.
- NuclPepSearch Searching SWISS-PROT for a nucleotide sequence
- TIGR The Institute for Genomic Research
The Institute for Genomic Research is a not-for-profit research institute with interests in structural, functional, and comparative analysis of genomes and gene products in viruses, eubacteria, pathogenic bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes (both plant and animal), including humans.
- The Mendel Database
Welcome to the Mendel Plant Gene Nomenclature Database homepage. The Mendel database project aims to develop a common nomenclature for sequenced genes, based on gene families, for all photosynthetic organisms, the organelle genomes of both photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic organisms (fungi, algae, and protozoa) and plant viruses. The database currently contains more than 20,000 genes, which can be translated into proteins, organized into about 2000 gene families based on their sequence homology. We are seeking individuals or groups of individuals to curate our family alignments and suggest Gene Family Names. If you wish to help please e-mail us at the above address; alignments, BLAST clusters and TREE files will be provided. Guidelines for the nomenclature are indexed within the page on the Mendel Project -below.
- TRANSFAC TRANSFAC database
The TRANSFAC database provides information on transcription factors, their binding sites and binding profiles. Also available are sequence analysis tools for potential transcription factor binding sites. This is the TRANSFAC Classic version, freely available to users from non-profit organizations. Users from commercial enterprises are kindly asked to contact BIOBASE GmbH (info@biobase.de) for licensing TRANSFAC Professional.
