ARACEAE JUSS. FAMILY IN ARMENIA.

Kamilla Tamanyan. Institute of Botany, NAS of Armenia.

Araceae Juss. family has been investigated which has never been explored in Armenia before. Morphological features of species have been analysed, areals and synonims were defined more precise. The ways of evolution and migration of species were investigated. It has been established that the family is represented by 2 genera - Acorus L. (with single representative - A. calamus L.) and Arum L. (7 species). Arum conophalloides is adduced for Armenia for the first time. A.consobrinum is a forgotten species described from the Caucasus, re-established by Tzvelev (1993). Besides that A. orientale, A. maculatum, A. rupicola, A. italicum (=A. albispathum), A. nordmannii (A. elongatum) species have been adduced.
