THE SYSTEMATICS OF THE FERN-ALLIES (EXCL. SELAGINELLACEAE) OF CHINA

The fern-allies (excl. Selaginellaceae) of China are classified into 5 families, 11 genera, 76 species, 3 subspecies, 1 variety and 3 forms. The systematic arrangement is: 1. Equisetaceae: 1 genus (Equisetum), 2 subgenera (Equisetum, Hippochaete), 10 species, 3 subspecies.2. Psilotaceae: 1 genus (Psilotum), 1 species.3. Lycopodiaceae: 6 genera (Diphasiastrum, Lycopodiella, Lycopodiastrum, Lycopodium, Palhinhaea, Pseudolycopodiella), 15 species, 3 forms.4. Huperziaceae: 2 genera (Huperzia, Phlegmariurus), 46 species, 1 variety.5. Isoetaceae: 1 genus (Isoetes), 4 species.
