Training and Education
EMBnet offers a panel of experts available to give specialised courses at their nodes. National nodes provide local training and support programmes in local languages. EMBnet supports a training programme using telematics.
Software development
Staff from several EMBnet nodes collaborate in developing new biocomputing tools.
Computing resources
EMBnet nodes provide their national scientific community with access to high performance computing resources, specialised databanks and up-to-date software. Many nodes act as redistribution centres to national research institutes.
Technical support
Collaborative technical expertise within EMBnet provides support for sustaining the biocomputing facilities of the member nodes
Help desk
Each national node provides help to end users in their local language about all aspects of biocomputing.
Publications
EMBnet produces information and guidance in biocomputing by publishing support material for the end users. The quarterly newsletter "embnet.news" presents the latest achievements inside the organisation, together with papers on new developments regarding biocomputing in general.
