"Shrubby pyramidal tree to 8 m tall and sometimes procumbent. Foliage shoots curved downwards but main branches curved upwards. Adult foliage leaves like var. imbricatus but distinctly more robust, 1.2-2 by 0.8-1 mm. Involucral leaves 2.5-4.5 mm long and more or less clasping the receptacle" (1).Range
