The Nuclei of Dinoflagellates Contain Permanently Condensed Chromosomes

The condensed chromosomes of dinoflagellates are banded. The bands consist of a sequence of fibrils (F) and granules (G). Each band is about 110 nm wide as is indicated by the bars in the photography. (D.L. SPECTOR et al., 1981).
