Data Maintenance Guides

Version 1.1, Prepared by Information Services and Protected Areas Unit at UNEP-WCMC, August 1997

This guide is designed as a reference for developers, users and publishers of these data, both for UNEP-WCMC staff and other collaborating individuals. It provides documentation on the thematic and technical aspects of the data, and a set of guidelines for its appropriate use, management and publication. This document should accompany the data, both in hard copy form archived with the original copy of the data and in digital form with the data when residing on disk. The adoption of guidelines identified in this document will be subject to agreements identified by UNEP-WCMC and the data recipient.
